CUNY Tech Prep Advice

Network with as many recruiters as you can and Focus on the Behavioral interview aswell as the Technical interview. Most students tend to focus more on the Technical part of the interview since it tends to be more challenging but from my job hunting experience this year, the Behavioral interview can be easy to mess up IF you don't prepare for it so make sure you practice the Behavioral part as well.

Take advantage of the job postings career coaches and other fellows are posting. As with behavioral interviews for data science roles, prep for on the spot technical questions related to statistics, machine learning, case studies, or technical details about your projects. Within the these interviews, avoid technical jargon and explain things in the most basic form. This will show that you understand and demonstrate that you know how to communicate to a non-technical audience. Technical interviews, it may vary from white board interviews to a simple one-to-one on the fly quizzing about concepts commonly covered in data science. I prepped using by doing mock interviews for white boarding. Also, I made sure to have a deep understanding of the data science topics rather than memorizing.
